Technical Assistance  program to enhance the metrological capability of the Sultanate of Oman

Dr. Eberhard Seiler has visited the Directorate General of Standards and Metrology at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the Sultanate of Oman as apart of technical Assistance program to enhance the metrological capability of the Sultanate of Oman

During his visit, Dr. Seiler tried to collect information and meet relevant institutions in Oman in order to establish and identify 

  • measurement and calibration need current and future needs of economy and society and assessment of actual capabilities as well as gap analysis
  • roughly estimation of necessary resources to provide new metrological services including all essential parameters, e.g manpower, equipment, laboratories, legislation
  • Tools to identify optimum solutions and to set priorities as base for justifiable and transparent decisions
  • roadmap to reach the objective(s)

The outcome of Dr. Seiler visit shall facilitate to the decision makers in Oman to take the suitable decision to Enhance the measurement and calibration capabilities in the Sultanate of Oman
